Portraits: Baby Ava

Hello Friends!!!

Something exciting has happened! I got my first opportunity to photography a newborn! It was extremely exciting and terrifying. I’m really good with kids, especially babies, so I wasn’t worried about hold her or making her feel comfortable. But at 14 days, I had no idea how thing would be. So I research and research and researched and it paid off!

Here is Baby Ava at 14 days old.

The only thing I would have done differently would have been to use something to designate that the baby is a female, especially in the shots with the beige\brown material.

A lot will come with experience.

Did you ever read, or watch how they film commercials, particularly food commercials? A lot of it isn’t even food at all because of the heat of the lights and the time span involved, but they make it look like food to the film. It fools the eyes.

What you know to be the truth with a prop, doesn’t have to be what the camera captures. And if you really want to get into it, you can use a computer to add in things.

The photos were good and you captured her sweet little face.
