Here is another session from the College Archives. Emily is another one of my SAI (Sigma Alpha Iota) sisters. She is amazingly talented and her voice is like an angel choir. She did everything musically possible which means she needed head shots. I was really happy when she asked me to do them for her. Emily is currently on the road to being a Music Teacher! Yay future educators!
Here is Emily:
Location: Platteville, WI
Camera: Canon 50D
Tips and Tricks:
- Have a stash of awkward fighting techniques. Emily is gorgeous, yet she felt like an awkward duckling, it took a while to figure out how to distract her from those feelings, but once we got a good speed and grove going, we were golden
- Don’t be afraid of the white screen. As a new photographer still, I found I don’t enjoy working with the white screen. Don’t know why, but it is necessary to be a master of all backgrounds. Baby steps folks, baby steps
- Think about having a designated changing area in your studio. These were taken in the campus studio and there was no changing room. So every time Emily changed outfits, she had to run to the bathroom down the hall. Very inconvenient to both of us.
